Onsite Metal stitching and metal locking is the best solution to repair cracks in cast iron and broken casting. Conventional welding method is not useful as the heat generated in it has a chance to destroy the component.
Following are the steps involved in the metal locking and metal stitching process for repair of cracks:
- It is very important to inspect the cracked area and detect the exact location, length, and intensity of the crack in cast iron and other cast metal components. We have latest MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) equipment to perform the crack detection.
- Once the number, length and intensity of the cracks are identified, repair process is started by metal locking and metal stitching process.
- After inspection and analyzing the inspection report, the cracked component is metal stitched with special keys and locks.
For metal stitching, our engineers do drilling and tapping of special pins and then interlocking to stitching pins to make the repairs strong and tensile.
We have an experienced team having Indian CDC who can execute the repair process by metal locking and metal stitching anywhere in the world.
